Green Trip
Lately I have been extremely conscious about the environment, I've perceived that the temperature out there is getting higher and higher and that got me thinking of Global Warming and i started to go GREEN. I have not on the AC for a week now and people living in Malaysia should know how HOT the weather is.
The Day before yesterday, a couple of friends and I were sipping 'MaMAK Coffee' discussing about the trip to IMU and PC Fair the day after and out of sudden one of my friend suggested in conjunction with the Love the environment spirit that I have been having that we take KTM instead of driving there, and thus the concept of Green Trip was born.
A heads up, green trip was not really as luxurious or at the very least COMFORTABLE as it sounds, maybe due to the lack of homework that we've done for the trip. So here's what happen, 3 of us started our Green trip with a morning breakfast with some horrible 'Yee Mee' then we went to the Teluk Gadong Station and started our KTM ride there. The rattling of the train with the blurry view from the window accompany us, we finally reached KL Sentral, then we switched to the Seremban line and go to Bukit Jalil station, we made a mistake here because we should stop at Sri Petaling station. This mistake causes us to walked for 1km under the scorching sun to get to IMU. After a brief IMU tour, we took the train from Sri Petaling station to Masjid Jamek, then switched to Putra line to get to KLCC and busy collecting fliers and haggling at the same time. There are reasons for me to grab as many fliers as I can. First is because its courtesy, and second some of them just take the fliers and throw so I am taking more so that I can recycle more. Anyway we ended the trip at ard 5pm and that was a wrong move cuz the KTM was JAm packed. I actually miss 2 train in KL Sentral and I was able to see how we Malaysian act during this time of things (we act like savages). Anyway that's the Green Trip and I know what you are thinking, taking the public transport and recycling a few papers can't really do much in the whole saving the world from Global Warming but think about it although what we did for the environment may be small but as more and more people are doing it, these small things can be a factor that going to tip the scales.
